How to change a business mindset from revenue focus to profit focus for business continuity.

Todays topic is a bit weird . How do we make profit before we sell something ? I would like to start with changing our mindset from CONVENTIONAL thinking.
Change from
SALES - COST = PROFIT
To
SALES - PROFIT = COST
This tactical solution will allow you to see your profit apart from your revenue . Its common now that sales rocketed but profit dwindle to high cost. With all these tariffs coming in , we should be looking at COST for 2025.
There are 3 level of costs .
COST PLANNING
COST MANAGEMENT
COST SAVINGS
NO 1 is strategy . No 2 is operation . No 3 is tactical. The tactical part will come in after we analyse THREATS in our SWOT ANALYSIS. I teached my students to start to look at business from THREAT angle first before strength , weakness and oppurtunities. This is because for the last 5 to 10 years , disruptive element comes from THREAT not weaknesses. So in order to survive business must identify threats in advance and convert them into oppurtunities .
I use a tool named TRIPOD ANALYSIS to turn THREATS that we identify in our SWOT analysis , to oppurtunities that we can explore and change our business goals.
